Slot machines and the people who play them are the biggest form of income for the casinos. (2nd Down)- The pace of the city has become too much for this man. Sitting outside the Margaritaville restaurant, a man takes a quick cat nap on Monday afternoon. (3rd Down)- Life moves at a hectic pace in Las Vegas. The people moving through the Venetian Tuesday morning were no different than could be seen anywhere else in the city. (4th Down)- Wednesday night a child sits in awe of the fish tank in the Cesar’s Palace Forum shops. Even with all the things geared towards adults, the city makes a big effort to make things family friendly. (5th Down)- A man outside the Luxor works on his blackberry Wednesday afternoon while waiting for the monorail. This gentleman proves that even in Vegas the work never stops. Vegas is a top destination for conferences for businesses. (Bottom)- Progress never stops in Las Vegas. Late Monday night the Frontier Hotel and Casino was torn down. I had one or two more that were quite mediocre, but I thought I'd put these up just to provide more examples of how and where you can see these patterns emerge.<br /><br />I don't like that I mostly shot people walking away from the camera. The first is of a Mobile City Police officer, named Sonny, standing on the parade route before the start of a Mardi Gras Parade. He’s enjoying a little snack and after I took it his only concern was to make sure I got the doughnut in the photo. The second is of a member of the Crew of Columbus Mardi Gras organization just before he boarded his float. The third photo is of the crowns of the two towers of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception located on Claiborne Street. The water in the photo is from a fountain at the end of the courtyard in front. I thought it would make a nice photo to catch the water shooting in between the church and my camera. Just thought I’d post a few photos from home that I liked.
