Tomorrow (Th.) there's a National Coming Out Day event on campus from 11:00-2:00 in the LR Atrium. That will probably be a bottom-of-the-front-page story. (This is happening before, during, and after your class!)

There's a Club A-Dub "Salsa Nite" in the Student Union (Ocotillo common area) tomorrow from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.

A little Mobile flavor.

These are a few photos I took in my hometown of Mobile Alabama. The first is of a Mobile City Police officer, named Sonny, standing on the parade route before the start of a Mardi Gras Parade. He’s enjoying a little snack and after I took it his only concern was to make sure I got the doughnut in the photo. The second is of a member of the Crew of Columbus Mardi Gras organization just before he boarded his float. The third photo is of the crowns of the two towers of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception located on Claiborne Street. The water in the photo is from a fountain at the end of the courtyard in front. I thought it would make a nice photo to catch the water shooting in between the church and my camera. I saw this man at

a viewpoint along the coast. My shutter speed was just a bit to slow to catch the pivotal point where the bird bit. But still I thought he was a cool cat, just to lure them for that second.

Business Cards

This is a photo I took during my trip to Vegas back in March. I think these cards are interesting. I’m going back in November and might see about getting some more interesting photos of them. Its one of those things that only takes place there. They are everywhere and don’t really seem to bother anyone. The photo is pretty blown out on some of the cards, but it was the middle of the day so I’m glad I got the detail I did. Photo by Robert Neno.
