I think this one would have been better had you got down on her level. Also got alot closer to her. That way the ghost would had seemed that much bigger.
You are absolutely right! I wanted to do exactly what you described- but the guy wasn't overly friendly who was sitting out front so I decided against lying down in his yard to wait for the right shot! hehe
The only problem with going for that low angle on this shot is that you risk losing the light as the flash travels toward the top of the ghost. Because the ghost is so bright you'd likely get a real hot foreground at the base of the ghost and then a quick falloff toward the top.
At least by shooting from the same plane here, you've kept your light from jerking you around.
