I forgot to mention in class that I noticed Jackie was carrying a copy of JPG Magazine.
This is a really fine publication dedicated to a raw style of photography. A lot of it contains photojournalism-style images with attitude. I forget where I got it in town--either Hastings or Barnes and Noble. But you can also go to their Web site.
What's cool about the site (www.jpgmag.com) is that you can upload photos and get peer reviews and possibly earn cash.
If that's your interest, go to the "About" link and then click the "How it Works" link.
Otherwise, if you're just looking for inspiration, tumble around the site. There is a lot to see.
