Painting Roses

While taking photos of a bouquet of flowers, I decided to add some paint and brushes. The look was to imply that the roses had been freshly painted. This was one image that I achieved the look I wanted.

Wednesday night storm.

While taking the trash out this evening I saw there was a thunder storm coming toward Ave. B and 16th street where I live. So after dumping the trash I got my camera and tripod and started taking photos and waiting. This was one of only two which caught any lightning bolts. Trying to take photos of lightning is a lot like fishing I think, except if I were fishing I wouldn’t have even caught one.

Toy Patriotism

While I was trying some new things with toys and such I got the idea to photograph this action figure. I did a long exposure with the room dark. Then I used a flash, flashlight, and keychain lights to see what effects I could get. The desk flag made a good background. Photo by Robert Neno.

A day at the zoo.

Kadia Lynn, my niece who is five, just finished getting her face painted by a clown December ninth at the San Diego Zoo. She came with her family to visit my wife and me before Christmas so we took them to San Diego to do some sight seeing. Photo by Robert Neno.

Deep Glow

This tulip was part of an experiment done in my garage on a Sunday afternoon. The tulip was 'painted' with the light of a flashlight, painted onto the flower, the shutter was held open. The effect gives the flower a deep glowing effect that is warm and appealing to the eye.

Bee Gathering

A Large swarm of Bees collect on a tree in my front yard in Dome Valley on June 22 2007, While trimming trees at our home I came across this impressive swarm of bees. All the bees gathered after their hive had been taken away leaving them with no home. A simple hose down with water sent them off to another location.
