Mardi Martini



Thanks for the advice, I do like to study other work and try to mimick it, but usually with a different twist to it...I don't quite understand layering, yet, but will look into it...I'm beginning to think, you are either born with a talent or not...I have been at this for about 2 years, I see progression, but not to the extent I would like.

I think for doing this only two years, you've leapfrogged several stages of development.

You're at quite an advanced stage artistically. I don't know enough about your technical skill. You obviously can shoot soccer.

So now the issue is can you solve problems and overcome adversity and deal with the technical stuff that comes at you.

I was ranting in class on Tuesday about the TV guy complaining about not getting to shoot from where he wanted to. Apparently he was on the phone to his station letting them know that the reason he wasn't bringing back good video was not his fault.

Now that's just poor professionalism. You've got to fight, improvise and overcome to do this work. Whining is not part of the equation. Take your lumps and get better from them.
