Good idea to put part of the flag in the background.
This is something I was going to bring that I saw in the East Valley Tribune (but I left it in Mesa over the weekend).
Whenever you're faced with a lot of empty foreground (as in this photo) it's often a sly technique to fill part of the frame with something that adds color and provides some compositional filler--such as this flag. Good work!
